Educational services are provided on-campus at Arrowhead's private non-public special education school. As a self-contained special education program, Arrowhead is able to provide a student-teacher ratio of 5:1. All teachers are LBS-1 unlimited certified and are Highly Qualified by NCLB standards.
Arrowhead is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education as a residential school, accredited by the Council on Accreditation, and licensed by DCFS as a Child Care Institution and a Child Welfare Agency.
Arrowhead is able to provide the following educational services:
12-month schooling that allows for up to 10 credits per year
Independent Learning System (a computer-generated classroom using COMPASS software)
Title I reading program
State-of-the-art auto shop
Statewide team sports competitions through the Illinois Interagency Athletic Association
PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers)
Academic testing using WRAT, Woodcock-Johnson III and MAPS
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)
Full-time clinically licensed school social worker
Part-time school psychologist
